Looking Down on Iraq

Saturday June 21, 2003
It's amazing what you can see from space. Or, at least, that vantage point gives you a different perspective on the world. This picture of a sandstorm in Iraq is a great example. And it is just one of a dozen photos of Iraq taken from space and made available by the Earth Sciences and Image Analysis, NASA-Johnson Space Center. Other shots include images of Baghdad, Basra, and the path of the Euphrates River.
