Asia Travel BlogBeijing gives HK the Finger - Buddha's finger...Thousands of people have lined up in Hong Kong to see a relic -- a fragment of bone reputed to be a finger of Buddha. The bone is on loan to Hong Kong from the Chinese government, according to the Associated Press. Many devout Buddhists view the finger as among of the religion's most sacred relics. The finger is usually kept at Famen Temple near Xi'an in central China. It was among Buddhist relics discovered in an underground shelter at the temple in 1987.
