Since 1847 Macau has been the gambling capital of Asia. But the opening of a new casino there is taking the city's reputation to a new level -- and drawing large crowds, according to Time Magazine. Over 15,000 people lined up for the opening recently of the Sands Macau, described by Time as "a $240 million waterfront pleasure dome, (that) offers Asia its first taste of Las Vegas glitz."
