Qufu, China

In China's Shandong Province, Qufu is a small, rural Chinese town with an ancestral temple, a family cemetery, and the mansion of a family clan that did well in Chinese history - the Kong family clan. On the face of it, that makes the town noteworthy only in how usual it is. But Qufu was the home town of Kong Fu Zi, or Confucius. And 70 generations of his descendants have lived here.
