How to SE Asia For Visitors - Home Page
From your Asia for Visitors Guide

It's definitely out there. And if you're looking for a place to catch it, Thailand is it! But catching the HIV virus is not always as easy as people think. So here's a few steps you can take to more or less ensure that you contract the AIDS virus...

Difficulty Level: Easy    Time Required: 2 week

Here's How:
1. Save some money. You can stay 15 days in Bangkok for $300 if you're not picky. Beds exist for $8 a day. And $10 per day will feed you, but you should budget more if you plan to eat in restaurants.
2. Get to Thailand. Personally, I prefer flying directly into Bangkok. But it doesn't matter how you get there. If you are already in the area you can take the train from S'pore or Malaysia.
3. Find the night life! Bangkok has concentrated areas of go-go bars and cat houses. Pattaya and Phuket both also have large red light districts. But any town will have at least a few prostitutes.
4. Move around. This increases your chances of catching AIDS. The more girls you 'do', the more likely it is that one of them will have it. Don't stay in one bar the whole time.
5. Avoid expensive places. The less the girl costs, the more likely she is to have HIV. Half the $2 hookers in Chiang Mai are HIV positive. Go for the cheap stuff if you really want to take home the virus.
6. Do NOT use protection. There is some debate about whether condoms protect you completely from HIV. But, hey, why take the chance? Unprotected sex increases your chances of getting the virus.
7. Stay active! The more often you have sex with a prostitute in Thailand, the more likely you are to pick up HIV.
8. Be persistent. Catching AIDS isn't as easy as it sounds. An infected guy is 17 times more likely to give it to a girl than vice versa. So men, you may actually have to work at it a little.
9. Don't worry about other sexually transmitted diseases. While some of them are more painful and irritating in the short term, if you succeed in picking up HIV it is not the short term that matters.
