From About.com

Singapore is where you need to be if food and flavor have a special place in your heart: few spots on earth offer the variety of culinary temptations that can be found in the Lion City. So where do you eat in Singapore? This is not a list necessarily of the best restaurants in Singapore, but it is a few of the good ones.

Spicy foods like Fish head curry, hot & sour soup (Tom Yam), prawns in a pineapple sauce, etc.

7. The Raffles Grill

Singapore's most elegant French restaurant, located in the historic Raffles Hotel.

8. Song of India

Just off Orchard Road, this is quickly becoming one of Singapore's signature restaurants. Chef Milind Sovani has an incredible menu. The a la carte items cover a number of regions. The menu has been described as being made up of 60% modern fare, 20% classic India dishes, and 20% regional fare that you are unlikely to find at other restaurants outside of India.

9. Zam Zam Restaurant

Outstanding India and Malay food situation directly across from the historic Sultan Mosque. Zam Zam is famous for its murtabak - a stuffed pancake filled with eggs, onions, mutton (or some other meat), and accompanied with a curry sauce.
